Initial mural designs
As a graphic designer on the mural, I faced communication challenges with the illustrators and received work last-`minute.
Despite this, I transformed my typography into becoming an illustrative element, enhancing expression and flow, especially on the east and west corrugated walls.
My contributions ultimately helped create a structured and engaging visual experience, where I would end up designing an entire corrugated wall!

My designs for the corrugated walls
As a graphic designer collaborating with two illustrators, I adapted to last-minute input and incorporated it into my designs while maintaining readability and flow, elevating the mural’s clarity and impact.
I made my typography more visual and illustrative and aligned with the art style of the brief, which gave extra impact to my designs on the west walls.
This mural marked a personal achievement. I’m leaving my mark on Bournemouth, while creating something vibrant and engaging for the community.
For as long as I could remember, I’ve loved murals. One of my earliest memories was driving around San Francisco with my Dad and seeing murals light up the street teeling a story bigger than life. They were one of the defining mediums that encouraged me to make the jump to become an artist. For me, making a mural was always a bar I had to meet as an artist, and I’m so proud to say that I’ve finally done it
